Woolfe The Red Hood Diaries Will Be Playable At Gamescom

Some of you might have heard about a sidescroller called Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries, a platformer based on the classic French fairy tale Red Riding Hood. The game is being developed by a company called GriN. Woolfe is scheduled for release later this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Today GriN announced that Woolfe will be playable at Gamescom for the very first time. They will even hold a special highscore challenge, for all who decides to try the game out at the floors of Gamescom. The top players in this challenge will be able to grab some limited edition prizes, which could potentially be pretty cool. GriN also promises something special for cosplayers dressing up as Red Hood at the event.

Personally I find these news pretty exciting. Woolfe looks to become a very dark and unique take on The Red Riding Hood, which is a fantastic classic when it comes to fairytales. Check out the teaser trailer below to get a taste of what the game is all about.

What do you guys think about Woolfe? Feel free to comment.

Yesterday's stream highlights!

Wow yesterday was an amazing day. First of all I started to stream some more, Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition here at Gamigon Live! I played it co-op with Tomlans, and there were burning zombies, fog, and graveyards everywhere! If you missed it you can check out the recorded stream here: http://www.twitch.tv/gamigonlive/b/508751725

After a 40 minute break, I was continuing with my Final Fantasy 7 No Shop Run Challenge, where I had some serious problem with Lost Number, and was super surprised that a certain boss at Cosmo Canyon, could not be killed with a Phoenix Down anymore. Wow.

This stream had to be split in two parts at the following links: http://www.twitch.tv/gamigonlive/b/508800393 http://www.twitch.tv/gamigonlive/b/508838692

Also be sure to check out the highlights from yesterdays stream below. My favorite is the Phoenix Down one. Which one is yours?

Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition: Awesome Highlights From Yesterdays Stream (March 5 - 2014)

Yesterday I played and streamed Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition, for the PlayStation 4, live right here on Gamigon Live! It was an awesome experience, with a lot of action. The game felt great at 1080p, looking nice and clean. You could see further ahead than the PS3 counterpart, thanks to the higher resolution as well.  It also worked like a charm in online co-op, which is nice.

Gamigon Live! will continue playing and streaming Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition today at 10:00 AM PST (18:00 GMT +0) and continue for at least 4+ hours. After that Gamigon Live! will continue with the Final Fantasy VII No Shop Challenge, for everyone who is also following that. So a lot of fun happening tonight.

If you missed yesterdays stream and want to see the whole thing you can do so at: http://www.twitch.tv/gamigonlive/b/508506525

Top-5 Reasons As To Why Kingdom Hearts Is Still A Great Game

There has been a lot of Kingdom Hearts streaming going here on Gamigon Live! lately, and as all of you who have followed my stream know, I love the game a lot, even though it is 12 years old by now. So I have decided to share with you my top-5 reasons, as to why Kingdom Hearts is still the awesome game that it always has been, even today.

Reason Number 5: Graphics have aged well for such an old game

Even today the first Kingdom Hearts game looks great. All the environments, was thoughtfully crafted by Square's artists, no texture or 3d-model feels misplaced or bad. Also the graphics shader every Disney character pop-out in exactly the right way. Sure Kingdom Hearts 2 looks even better, and Kingdom Hearts 3 will look amazing, but for a 12 year old game, The first game in the series, can still give a bit of a fight in the graphical department.

Reason Number 4: The Battles are solid and fun

One of the key gameplay moments in Kingdom Hearts, are it's battles. They are action-filled fun and controls well. Sure Sora might feel a bit "glued to the ground" at times, but there is not a single moment where I can blame the controller for my mistakes on Proud mode. The level, and equipment systems are easy to understand, but still makes for a lot customization option, to suit each players unique playstyle. Oh, and the bosses are amazingly fun to fight as well.

Reason Number 3: Fun Minigames

There are a plethora of mini games in the first Kingdom Hearts game, and most of them are really fun. Yes the gummi ship part of the game is a shore, and it is one of many improvements in the second game, but other than that, all side activities in Kingdom Hearts fits right into the recipe.

Reason Number 2: Fun exploration

It is fun to explore the worlds of Kingdom Hearts. There are collectibles hidden everywhere, and when you arrive to a new world, you just want to explore so that you can go "woooow" when you notices stuff that you recognize from Disney movies. You can't go wrong with Disney worlds.

Reason Number 1: I Love The Story

The thing people usually underestimates when it comes to Kingdom Hearts, is it's story. Even I took a look at the game at first and said: "Wow the story must be childish". Do not be fooled! There is not one moment of Kingdom Hearts story where I have felt that it's written for children. It's a mature, cool, funny and exciting story, that goes so well with the theme. It is however very confusing at times. Confusing in a good way.

So these are my top-5 reason that Kingdom Hearts is still a good game. Do you agree? Feel free to comment! Also do not forget to check in on the Gamigon Live! Plays Kingdom Hearts stream tonight at: 1:00 PM PST (21:00 PM GMT +0).
