Sora Fighting Riku: An Exciting Highlight Video With A Near Death Kill

Hello everyone!

Tonight's stream is done, and my adrenaline is finally starting calm down, after one of the most grueling Riku boss-fight that I have ever experienced. I finished him off with only a mm of health left. This just proved to me once again that "Proud Mode" is nothing to laugh at in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. This is not only one of my favorite games for the good old PS2, it might also be one of the most challenging ones. At least on the highest difficulty. What do you think? Is Riku difficult to beat in KH 1?

You can watch the highlight below:

Tales Of Symphonia Chronicles Released in EU Today. Let's Celebrate!

Another game that will at some point be featured on Gamigon Live! is Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. It was released in EU today, which means that we all get to play the game, with Japanese voice acting, HD-graphics, and all the Ps2 extra content, that have never left the Japanese shores before. That is awesome!

If you have not played this gem of a game, I implore you to do so. It is plainly amazing. When I have played it, you will see a "Top-5" listing all the reasons that this Gamecube classic still got what it takes, so stay tuned on Gamigon Live!

Oh and check out the trailer below, it is nice : )

Suda 51's Short Peace Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Days: New Details On Combustible

Today Namco Bandai Games revealed new details on Combustible, the second movie (out of four) in the Short Peace saga. Combustible is apparently directed by Katsuhiro Otomo, the same guy who created Akira and Steamboy. It's going to be about a merchants daughter, an impossible love story and a burning 18th century Edo. Sounds exiting!

For all those who do  now know, the Short Peace saga consist of 4 short Anime movies, topped of by Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Days, a game by Suda51 that takes place last in that timeline. It is about Ranko Tsukigime who is a normal schoolgirl....except hat she assassinates people at night. Throw in an organization that dabbles in demon business, and we have a winner!!

Personally I can't wait for the Short Peace saga to be released. 4 movies and a game is a pretty good deal.
I look forward to it so much that I have decided to stream gameplay from Ranko Tsukigime's longest day, the same day I get it sent to my door. When is that you ask? Well, the game is set for a release in Europe and Eurasia Spring 2014 for PlayStation 3, so it should not be to far off. I will watch the movies and stream the game on release day, right here on Gamigon Live! Have a look at the trailer below for some in game animation and side-scrolling action footage:

I can't wait for another Suda game! Are you guys excited as well?

Top-5 Reasons As To Why Kingdom Hearts Is Still A Great Game

There has been a lot of Kingdom Hearts streaming going here on Gamigon Live! lately, and as all of you who have followed my stream know, I love the game a lot, even though it is 12 years old by now. So I have decided to share with you my top-5 reasons, as to why Kingdom Hearts is still the awesome game that it always has been, even today.

Reason Number 5: Graphics have aged well for such an old game

Even today the first Kingdom Hearts game looks great. All the environments, was thoughtfully crafted by Square's artists, no texture or 3d-model feels misplaced or bad. Also the graphics shader every Disney character pop-out in exactly the right way. Sure Kingdom Hearts 2 looks even better, and Kingdom Hearts 3 will look amazing, but for a 12 year old game, The first game in the series, can still give a bit of a fight in the graphical department.

Reason Number 4: The Battles are solid and fun

One of the key gameplay moments in Kingdom Hearts, are it's battles. They are action-filled fun and controls well. Sure Sora might feel a bit "glued to the ground" at times, but there is not a single moment where I can blame the controller for my mistakes on Proud mode. The level, and equipment systems are easy to understand, but still makes for a lot customization option, to suit each players unique playstyle. Oh, and the bosses are amazingly fun to fight as well.

Reason Number 3: Fun Minigames

There are a plethora of mini games in the first Kingdom Hearts game, and most of them are really fun. Yes the gummi ship part of the game is a shore, and it is one of many improvements in the second game, but other than that, all side activities in Kingdom Hearts fits right into the recipe.

Reason Number 2: Fun exploration

It is fun to explore the worlds of Kingdom Hearts. There are collectibles hidden everywhere, and when you arrive to a new world, you just want to explore so that you can go "woooow" when you notices stuff that you recognize from Disney movies. You can't go wrong with Disney worlds.

Reason Number 1: I Love The Story

The thing people usually underestimates when it comes to Kingdom Hearts, is it's story. Even I took a look at the game at first and said: "Wow the story must be childish". Do not be fooled! There is not one moment of Kingdom Hearts story where I have felt that it's written for children. It's a mature, cool, funny and exciting story, that goes so well with the theme. It is however very confusing at times. Confusing in a good way.

So these are my top-5 reason that Kingdom Hearts is still a good game. Do you agree? Feel free to comment! Also do not forget to check in on the Gamigon Live! Plays Kingdom Hearts stream tonight at: 1:00 PM PST (21:00 PM GMT +0).
